Hi, I'm Marie– dog hair covered trail geek, mud magnet enthusiast, and founder of this little corner of the internet for adventure dogs and their humans.

                               

Back in 2011, I laced up my hiking boots, clipped on my dog’s leash (which promptly broke 10 minutes into the trail), and headed into the wild with a backpack full of dreams and gear that mostly didn’t work. Since then, I’ve been hiking, camping, paddleboarding, kayaking and embarrassingly outpaced by Benji on switchbacks.

Over 14+ years ago, I turned my love for hiking and dogs into the ultimate dream job. I started an off leash dog hiking business, taking 6 or more dogs at a time, off leash to hike on trails and play on the beach in San Francisco and throughout the Bay Area.  Through the years, I’ve tested more gear than I care to admit—some of it amazing, some of it... now part of a raccoon's home. Through all the trial and (sometimes muddy, soggy, tangled) error, I’ve learned what really works for active dogs—and what’s just marketing fluff.

Nowadays, I have 3 mini hikers and a husband hiker who join me on my muddy adventures with the dogs. Benji, now 15 years old!, is still going strong and I thank our many outings over the years for his long life and muscular build. 

This shop was born from a mission: to help you skip the guesswork and get straight to the good stuff.
